Jonah Hex opened in theaters everywhere this past weekend, but unfortunately even the uber sexy Megan Fox, couldn’t save the giant misfire from Warner Brothers. The supernatural comic-book western had been expected to earn $10 to $15 million and finish in third or fourth place. But After a dismal opening weekend, ” Jonah Hex” ended up at number 8, and only took home a misley $5.1 Million dollars at the box office! But Not for lack of trying. Fox’s image played prominently in promotional materials for “Jonah Hex,” but even her tight fitting corsets could save the box office bomb. So what went wrong? Well, despite a sizeable fan base and the suspected box office draw of Josh Brolin and Megan Fox, ultimately “Jonah Hex” was killed by negative reviews and poor word of mouth. In the end, As one Warner Bros exec said about the lesson learned; “You don’t take a handsome actor and disgfigure him.” Believe it or not, the film is fact the 2nd worst debut of any movie this year.
