http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies – Follow Us! Welcome to Clevver Movies. I’m Chelsea Cannell with your SAW 3D update. How do you like your Saw Films? Let me guess…Bloody and brutal and with a side of Gore? That’s pretty much what the franchise has made its name on, but believe it or not, this time around it may be just a bit softer! Ok Ok don’t get upset I may have over exaggerated BUT the film DID have to be re-edited 6 times in order to remove gory scenes so that it could ditch the initial NC-17 Rating. Producers were forced to cut out several violent sequences and re-edit multiple times in order to qualify for a coveted “R” rating. Obviously an NC 17 stamp would eliminate younger audience members and could thus have an effect on the overall box office success. In response to the NC17 tag, Producer Oren Koules admitted he was surprised they got it, despite the fact that it IS more violent than the rest of the Saw Flicks. The 3D flick is the 7th installment in the long running series and has been said to be the franchise’s final flick. But it promises to be a GOOD ONE, in talking to USA TODAY KOULES said, “it answers all the questions, it comes full circle. We have the goods on this one.” But sadly, he also confirmed it’s the end saying, “It’s time to stop. We have told the story we wanted to tell, and this is going to be a great farewell.” “Saw 3D” will be released on October 29 to coincide with Halloween.
We’re dying to know your thoughts on this one, so be sure to make your voice heard in the comment section below! And for the latest movie updates, follow us on Twitter @ClevverMovies. Thanks for watching, and we’ll see you next time.
