If your like me and the most exciting part of yesterdays superbowl game were the movie trailers, you were probably pretty pumped about getting another look at everyone favorite superhero ensemble, the avengers. For those of you who may have missed the avengers trailer bc you were drowning in dips & wings, heres our trailer breakdown! . 0:11 Some have speculated that with the amount of shots taking place on the water, The Avengers could be battling the Atlanteans. Could S.H.I.E.L.D. just be using this air craft carrier as a floating base to evade Loki’s Army? . 0:13 This is definitely Loki on this vehicle, but are they the Atomic Steed of the Wundagore some have speculated? 0:22 Iron Man’s Mark 6 armor is looking pretty trashed. This scene looks similar to the one where Captain America and Thor are battling from the original trailer. Is Iron Man getting in on the battle? 0:29 Looks like Thor is catching a ride on the Quinjet. Perhaps his brother hijacked one? . 0:30: This is our first real look at what we assume is “Loki’s Army”. They appear to be jumping from some kind of ship. Who exactly are they? We’ve had lots of speculation on his army…are they skrulls? Probably not…are they the redacted??? We aren’t sure…BUT you can clearly see that one in the far right has 3 toes. This means that it cant be the ice giants since they have 5…ALSO these unknown villains appear to have horns embedded in their armor on the chests…kinda levanthian esque? I don’t know this villain situation has us all stumped…but what do you guys think? . 0:34 Looks like Iron Man has some shiny new Mark 7 armor and he’s going to need it as he goes head-to-head with “Loki’s Army”. My question is, what exactly is that shooting down? Some kind of alien ship or something more sinister? 0:30: “Loki’s Army” jump from some kind of ship (I assume). Who are they? We’ve seen the “We’ve got a Hulk” line before, but we still love it and now we get a better look at it. I don’t know about you guys, but this could have been in the Super Bowl ad that aired on TV. . 0:55 and finally, we are getting the best look of Hulk that we’ve seen so far and for the first time, it actually does look like Mark Ruffalo…as you guys know he was he was doing the motion capture for it bfefore, but it never really looked like him…this is the most handsome we have ever seen the hulk…new crush? Hmmm… . So those are the key points we thought were worth mentioning, but was there anything we missed that you avengers experts picked out? WEve got the real superbowl faceoff! Hey everyone thanks so much for tuning into clevver movies, im your host Tatiana carrier with a recap on the trailers that hit the airwaves superbowl Sunday! . The Super Bowl may have been all about the battle between Giants and the Patriots, but to us at clevver movies, it was all about the battle of the trailers! Trailers for John Carter, The Avengers, Battleship and Act of Valor were several of the many movie clips that played during Super Bowl XLVI so we have to know, which was your fav?! . A teaser for the trailer for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers was one of the many that were released a few days before the game. The full trailer opens with the torn-up streets of the city, and Samuel Jackson’s Nick Fury’s voice-over saying, “The world has changed.” The trailer also shows the briefest glimpses of the mysterious alien villains that are rumored to be the focus of the film. . John Carter’s latest trailer also debuted during the Super Bowl after a trailer last week. It featured Led Zepplin’s “Kashmir” and, instead of just one image at a time, dozens of images for the film are embedded in the words “John Carter.” . Speaking of John Carter, Taylor Kitsch, who stars in the flick, was also featured in the trailer for Battleship. The new clip focuses heavily on the alien invasion in Peter Berg’s unique take on the popular childhood game. . A trailer for Act of Valor, which features real Navy SEALS, was emotional, and teased Relativity’s upcoming release of the film. . We also saw A trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator, which had been released earlier, also premiered, along with a trailer for Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. . The Avengers assemble…On Twitter! Thanks for watching Clevver Movies, I’m your host Tatiana Carrier. Fans around the world were able to participate in a live Q+A with Joss Whedon, Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Samuel L Jackson and Clark Gregg (Agent Phil Coulson) ANDDD Fans were able to see a 10-second teaser of the 30-second Super Bowl commercial and answer Avengers trivia to win Avengers prize packs. So here are some highlights from the chat! . • When asked about the much rumored Spider-Man cameo in ‘The Avengers’, director Joss Whedon responded, “There is no Spider-Man cameo. But the Avengers do turn off the dark.” Referencing the Spider-Man Broadway play that has had so many issues since its debut. • Another character that was rumored to possibly be making an appearance in the film that director Joss Whedon squashed was The Wasp. Eva Longoria and Olivia Munn were once rumored for the role, but when asked which character he wanted to include in the film, but was unable to for budget or time reasons, Whedon responded, “”I’m a fan of the Wasp. She’s goofy and sting-y.” • As for the story’s inspiration, director Whedon promises a combo platter from classic and Ultimate Avengers, plus “a little ‘Richie Rich’ & ‘Mastering the Art of French Cooking’” thrown in for good measure. • Samuel L. Jackson revealed that there will be no background on “Nick Fury” in this film, but alluded that we may get to see his origins in an upcoming ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ movie. • There will be a battle between Loki and Hulk in the film. Tom Hiddleston revealed that the scariest moment for him while filming was when he smashed his elbow while “facing down the great green incarnation of rage”. • Tom Hiddleston also promises Loki will be “More mischievous. More evil. More hubristic. More delusional. More damaged. More badass.” This time around. • Clark Gregg promised there will be more action in this film than previous Marvel movies. “Everybody sees more action in the avengers, hell, the audience even has to fight bad guys.” • Samuel L. Jackson named his favorite Avenger to be Black Widow and between Nick Fury and his Star Wars alter ego Mace Windu, the jedi wins. . AS if that wasn’t exciting enough, Clark Gregg promised there will be more action in this film than previous Marvel movies. He said, “Everybody sees more action in the avengers, hell, the audience even has to fight bad guys.” — end this with something like “tweeted, Gregg” . Hey guys thanks so much for watching clevver movies, Im your host Tatiana Carrier with the latest on the battle that ensues for that 2014 release date! . Marvel previously announced its upcoming release schedule that included 2013 releases for Iron Man 3 and Thor 2, but also included release dates in 2014 for two as of yet named films. It’s looking more and more like Captain America 2 will be sliding into the coveted Summer release slot of May 16th, but which film will take the April 4th, 2014 release date remains a mystery. Marvel has been so happy with the success of their A list superheroes on the big screen, it’s likely they will use that slot to launch a potential franchise of one of their lesser known heroes. One of those Marvel B list superhero could be Doctor Strange, which recently had its script completed by Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer who penned last year’s Conan the Barbarian. . For those of you not aware of the story line, Doctor Strange centres around a New York surgeon, who stops running his practice after suffering injuries in a car crash. He then becomes a drifter and heads to the Himalayas, where he meets a healer and discovers that he has a great psychic power to fight against evil. Doctor Strange boasts powers that includes telepathy, teleportation and energy and astral projection. . Another possibility to fill that April 4th date could be the much talked about ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ movie. This might be a more realistic possibility as it would potentially feature characters movie audiences are already familiar with, including Samuel Jackson’s “Nick Fury”, Scarlett Johansson’s “Black Widow” and Jeremy Renner’s “Hawkeye”. Neal McDonnough, who played “Dum Dum Dugan” in Captain America: The First Avenger recently spoke to IMDB Television about a possible Captain America sequel saying, “as soon as Thor has wrapped, they’ll do Cap 2. Hopefully right after that, we’ll jump into Nick Fury because that’s the one I’m looking forward to more than anything.” So not only does it look like a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie is possible, it may go into production early next year, easily giving it time to make that April 4th release date. . Of course, Marvel could completely change things up and go with one of their other properties, including standalone Black Widow or Hawkeye film or even Ant-Man, The Inhumans or Guardians of the Galaxy. So who do you guys think will win the 2014 release battle and which comic book hero would you rather see on the big screen? There MIGHT be a spoiler here. You’ve been warned. But honestly…I don’t think so . Hey Movie buffs, Joshua Evan Ovenshire here for Clevver Movies. Now there have been rumors left and right for months about what we can expect from the Avengers movie, and this one, by far….has to be the most ridiculous story yet. BUT, so crazy, it just may be true… . Popular Magazine, The Radio Time had an interview with actress Jenny Agutte who plays a role in The Avengers..we just don’t know WHAT role yet, and in this interview, she said there was going to be a very interesting cameo in The Avengers…and she says it’s Spiderman. Really? REALLY? Just mentioned Andrew Garfield and Robert Downey Jr. just hanging around in a winnebango on set. Garfield of course playing Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man, for those of you playing along at home. But REALLY? . Here’s what I’m confused about. Sony has Spider-Man. I really don’t think they’d play nice and let their Spidey be used in another Studio’s movie. But let’s play this thought out. HYPETHETICALLY, IF, Sony played nice, it wouldn’t make to much sense via Marvel’s Timeline. Normally, Marvel has events happen as the movie’s come out, with the exception of Captain America, obviously that took place in the past, but even still, the end of Captian led into the beginning of The Avengers. So with this logic in tact, The Amazing Spider-Man doesn’t come out till July 3rd. 2 months AFTER the Avengers. So technically, Parker hasn’t even been bit yet by that radio active spider. So I doubt it. But…..who know. Just maybe… . Now Story wise, this works, Spider-Man did jump in with the Avengers and help out. It would be interesting to see that happen in the flick. But even still, this is the Avengers forming for the first time. Spider-Man didn’t come in till MUCH later. So I don’t think so…but that’s just me. I want to know what you guys think. Looks like the producer of The Avengers is squashing rumors left and right! . Hey guys, Tatiana Carrier here with Clevver Movies, and the cover of Empire Magazine is looking pretty heroic. This month’s Empire Magazine will have 5 different covers featuring either, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, OR one cover featuring all four heroes. On top of that inside there’ll even be some new stills from the movie releasing this May. So be sure to scheck that out. . But now for the good stuff! Kevin Feige, producer of The Avengers, started eliminating some rumors in his interview in the issue. First up, The Skrulls. He does clear up who the Avengers will, or will not, be facing off against…well, kind of. He starts off with his response simply, “Who says they are aliens?” Feige, has said before that the Skrulls are not in this movie. They aren’t aiming to set up the Kree Skrull war or anything like that. In fact, He goes on to say that the enemies are in fact from the comics, but by no means impactful to the main story. . And now we turn our attention to Red Skull being in this film. Looking back to the ending of Captain America from last year, was he vaporized or was he merely transported to another time or dimension? Well, he doesn’t give us the answer to that question particularly, but he does clear up that Red Skull will NOT be in The Avengers. There you have it. No Red Skull in this movie, but Feige didn’t say anything about no Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos, or the water dragon, the Leviathan. . What do you think about all of this?
