R.I.P.D. gets Jeff Bridges- and may be losing co-star Ryan Reynolds? We’ve got the scoop Next Hey I’m Andrea Feczko and you’re watching Clevver Movies. Today the Wrap reported Jeff Bridges has locked the role of a recently murdered cop in “R.I.P.D.”- the upcoming adaptation of the Dark Horse Comic series about a police department staffed by undead cops. The part was originally slated for Zach Galifianakis who pulled out of the project- I know, that would’ve been awesome!- but Bridges is a veteran and has an Oscar, so the role should be safe in his hands. In a twist, Ryan Reynolds has long been attached to co-star in the film, but the “Green Lantern” actor now said that isn’t so. Talking to io9, Reynolds said he will have time to make only one film — and the choice is between R.I.P.D. or to play another comic book character- Marvel’s Deadpool. Reynolds stated he’d love to do both and the choice is out of his hands and in the studios’. I guess the offers come fast when you kick ass at well, kicking ass.
