The flick is about a young lawyer (played by Radcliffe) who travels to a remote village where he discovers the vengeful ghost of a scorner woman is terrorizing the locals. . SO before you head out to the theatres to see it yourselves, lets see what the critics have to say! . Leslie Felperin from Variety was a fan of the flick she said…Fittingly for the first film shot in England in 35 years to bear the Hammer banner, The Woman in Black competently resurrects that hoariest of horror-movie conceits, the haunted house. . Tim Evans from Sky Movies also liked the flick, “It’s an effective chiller in the grand tradition of British horror with a couple of icy-bucket-of-water-down-your-neck moments.” . One person who wasn’t too fond of the film was Matt Patches from Hollywood.com…he said, “A horror flick stuck in the limbo between cinematic life and death by boredom.” . Over all the flick did pretty well with the critics but the question is, will you guys be seeing the The Woman in Black when it hits the big screen? Hey guys thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, Im your host Tatiana carrier and ive got a casting update from JJ Abrams star trek sequel! . According to Deadline, British film actor Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast in a lead role in the film. No word yet on whether he’ll be a hero or villain, but many in the industry are speculating that he will play the lead villain in the film. If this is true, rumors that the villain for the second installment of the reboot would be the infamous “Khan”, originally played by Ricardo Montalban in the original series and 1982′s Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, are most likely false, unless Abrams decides to take Khan in a much different direction this go round. Cumberbatch has gained recent attention playing the title role in the hit BBC series Sherlock and landed high-profile roles in Oscar potential films War Horse and Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy. He will next be seen, or at least heard, voicing the roles of Smaug the Dragon and The Necromancer in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit films. . Another actor to join the cast is Cumberbatch’s fellow Brit, Noel Clarke, who you may know best from his role as “Mickey Smith” in that other popular BBC series, Doctor Who. Clarke will reportedly play a family man, with a wife and daughter. Not much to go on from that description, but let’s hope he doesn’t end up being a crewmember with a red shirt. We all know what happens to those guys. . Clarke and cumberbatch joins fellow Brit Alice Eve and Peter Weller in the film’s cast, while Edgar Ramirez and Jordi Molla were, last we heard, fighting it out to replace Benicio Del Toro as the film’s villain, who may or may not be Khan. With the addition of Cumberbatch to the cast, we’ll have to wait and see if there’s still a role to be had. . Either way we will find out soon enough as shooting is set to begin later this month! Tatiana carrier here with an update from everyones favorite wizard, harry potter! . As you guys know, Daniel Radcliffe is famed for playing Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the final installment in the decade-spanning franchise that has collectively grossed over $7.7 billion at box offices around the world and single-handedly revived the faltering British film industry. . The 22-year-old — who is currently starring in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying — spoke candidly with our friends at the Hollywood reporter about all things potter…the good, the bad, and the ugly! . When asked about how he felt about everything now being over, Radcliffe said, “my memories of it are incredibly nostalgic, and romantic, and, I think, how everybody views their teenage years, you know: with complete idealism, having forgotten that there was ever any, you know, hormonal rage or any of that kind of stuff. You know, I had a moment the other day of actually really missing it for the first time since, of going, “God, I miss those people!” . He then spoke about it all began…very quickly. He remembers literally turning into an over night celebrity! When asked how he dealt with the sudden fame, he said, “There are, obviously, upsides to it, but I’d say that the upsides, for me, are the upsides that come from my job rather than from the celebrity aspect. I mean, celebrity is horrible — that’s the truth, is that it’s a ghastly, vile thing.” He then went on to share a story about how a prestigious magazine asked him about a very serious topic that he felt he had no place commenting on…and the fact that the magazine thought it was acceptable to take advice from a non-qualified person just because they were a celebrity, disgusted him. . Finally he was asked about, in the big picture, all the things he was forced to give up, namely privacy…was it all worth it in the end? His answer…YES. ABSOLUTALY. He explained that while losing privacy during his teenage years was tough, he wouldn’t trade the experience and training he had from the Harry potter series! . So Ive got to ask…if you were in Daniel’s shoes at the young age when he was discovered…would you trade all of your everyday freedoms for the majority of your young life to be a part of an iconic franchise like the harry potter series? After weeks of rumors, an official announcement has been made that Ricky Gervais will be back to host the Golden Globes for a third year. NBC, which broadcasts the ceremony, pushed heavily for Gervais to have another stint on the show, but many of the association’s members opposed his return. . Why you may ask? A year ago, the British comedian who hosted the awards poked fun at major stars such as Bruce Willis and Robert Downey Jr. and the non-profit organization behind the awards show. ..which doesn’t seem soooooooo bad but he also implied that the organization, which has been criticized for having lax voting standards, accepted bribes in return for nominations. . After the show, Gervais said he did not plan on returning. However, he must have changed his mind because after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association voted for the controversial British comedian’s return after meeting with NBC official Doug Vaughn, Gervais accepted. . It doesn’t appear that all of the members are ready to welcome back the comic with open arms. The vote was apparently divided, with the organization admitting in a statement that “…not everyone is happy with the decision.” . So why all the hostility? Well, member Judy Solomon wasn’t shy about epressing her exact feelings on the matter, she said, “Those are people who are our guests. You invite a guest, you don’t insult them…Ratings are fine, but I wouldn’t want to jeopardize the integrity of the assocation for things like that.” . So what do you guys think? According to the hollywood reporter Daniel Craig marks his return as British secret agent James Bond in the 23rd installment titled Skyfall surrounded by an all star team including Javier Bardem ,Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and the returning Judi Dench. Director Sam Mendes introduced Craig, Dench, Bardem and Skyfall’s Bond girls played by French actress Berenice Marlohe and Britain’s Naomie Harris at a press conference Thursday in the British capital. Director Sam Mendes took the opportunity to assure all his fans that his Bond film would stick to the traditions of the world’s longest running franchise and have plenty of action…he said, “Skyfall, I think, has all the elements of a classic Bond movie, including, to quell any rumors, a lot of action,” Mendes said. HE went on to say it was his aim to quell internet speculation, media rumors and confirm a few facts about the latest 007 but also spent much of the conference being unable to reveal any titbits about plot and such. In regards to budget, With a reported production price tag of around $200 million for the last two movies, the 007 films are at the high end for film budgets in the current economic climate. “We’ve not had to take anything out of the script to make cost cuts, “We keep adding things in.
