Marc Forsters flick hits the silver screen on September 23rd of this year, and just days before, fans of the flick will be able to purchase the much talked about soundtrack which will be available in stores and digitally on sept 20th. On the album you can find the highly anticipated and new original song for the flick, “The Keeper” written & performed by grammy winner Chris Cornell. Director Mark Forster expressed how pleased he was with the track by saying, “We were thrilled when Chris wrote this beautiful and heartfelt song for us,” he went on to say, “The first time I heard ‘The Keeper,’ I immediately saw it in the movie. Chris was able to articulate the essence of Sam’s story.” Machine Gun Preacher stars Gerard Butler and is based on the true story of former drug dealer Sam Childers who later became a missionary saving kidnapped children in Sudan and hits theatres sept 23rd.
