Jessie Eisenberg Sues Paramount
http://bit.ly/clevvermovies – Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies – Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies – Follow Us! Jesse Eisenberg has filed a lawsuit against Lionsgate Entertainment and Grindstone Entertainment for allegedly trying to fraudulently capitalize on the The Social Network star’s fame, according to legal documents. . The court papers state that the low-budget horror movie Camp Hell has been advertised as a film starring Eisenberg even though he appears onscreen for “less than five minutes.”According to the documents, Eisenberg originally agreed to play a cameo role in the picture “as a favor to friends” for “minimal compensation.” . “Eisenberg is bringing this lawsuit in order to warn his fans and public that, contrary to the manner in which the defendants are advertising the film, Eisenberg is not the star of and does not appear in a prominent role in Camp Hell, but instead has a cameo role in Camp Hell.” . The suit asks for Lionsgate and Grindstone to compensate Eisenberg for damages of at least $3 million. . Well hopefully this sends a message out to the studios out there…know the difference between a starring role and a cameo, geez!!! . Im Tatiana carrier with box office results from the weekend! . (BROLL) As we suspected, Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 won over the extended holiday weekend with 62 million with a world wide cume of almost 500 million. While bella, Edward and Jacob did kill it at the box office this past weekend, domestically, the film continues to pace slightly behind The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which had earned $230 million at the same point. . Coming in second place is the muppets with 42 million throughout the holiday weekend. The family flick, produced for only $45 million, beat a number of competitors to gross $42 million for the Wednesday-Sunday stretch; good enough to make the iconic brand a hit in the box office…which is pretty awesome considering The Muppets have been off the big screen for a decade! . Coming in third place are the happiest penguins around, Happy Feet 2. The dancing penguins brought in 18.4 million throughout the weekend with a cume of 43.8 million…while this film did come in 3rd in a competivie holiday weekend, the penguins did disappoint considering the first happy feet almost did better in the first weekend than the sequal has done in 2. . In the Muppets, Jason Segal and Amy Adams play muppets fans who attempt to save the muppet theatre from a greedy oil tycoon…in order to do this, they have to reunite the muppets who have all gone their separate ways through time….the flick got 100% on rotten tomatoes, meaning, as I suspected, the flick was amazing….but just incase you need further convincing, lets see what the critics had to say! . Roger Moore from the Orlando Sentinel said, “The musical comedy whimsically and often cleverly revisits the characters, their shtick and and the TV show and movies that made them most famous.” . David Germain from Associated press was a fan of the muppet revival…he said, “The Muppets” marks a very welcome return for Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and the rest of Jim Henson’s creations after a 12-year big-screen absence. . And finally, Todd Mccarthy from the Hollywood reporter praises the timelessness of this classic, which he insists is a good watch for everyone….he said, “A mostly winning return for childhood favorites from a prior century looks to accomplish its goal of pleasing old fans and winning new ones.” . So there ya have it! The Muppets are back in action and even the critics agree, it’s a must see for everyone!
