According to the Hollywood reporter, Columbia pictures is REMAKING the 1990 drama which was originally directed by Joel Schumacher and starred Julia Roberts and Keifer Sutherland. The 1990 movie, written by Peter Filardi is about Medical students who bring themselves near death and then, their experiment begins to go awry. Laurence Mark, a veteran producer whose recent credits includeJulie & Julia and The Lookout, is producing the redo. Further Films, who produced the original, will also be involved. No word yet on who will star, but I cant help but ask why risk remake this 90s flick? With movies like fright night and conan the barbarian, both remakes bombing at the box office, why remake this movie…its not like it was a HUGE hit back in the 90s, why would it be now? I guess we will just has to wait and see on that one! But what do you guys think? Worth a remake or leave it alone?
