Hey everyone, thanks for tuning back in, im your host, Tatiana carrier With YOUR weekend wrap up! This weekend, the openers totally owned the box office, but can you guess which flick came in the top spot and took in the big bucks? . If you guessed Sherlock holmes a game of shadows, you guessed correctly! Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows brought in an incredible $40.0 million throughout the weekend proving once again that holmes and Watson still have it! . Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked came in second with $23.5 million. Despite the poor reviews from the critics, the families still came out to support Alvin, simon and Theodore…but were you one of the 23 million who watched the singing monks get Chipwrecked? . In third place was Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol — with$13.0 mil…not bad at all, but definitely thought it would do better considering the dark knight rises prologue…I wonder how it would have done without the caped crusader? . New Year’s Eve came in 4th place with $7.4 million proving that despite horrible reviews from both movie goers and critics alike, star power is something NOT to be reckoned with! The mega ensemble cast will most likely continue to draw crowds throughout the weekend. . And finally, the comedy of the bunch, Jonah hills The Sitter came in 5th with 4.4 million…which is pretty impressive considering its just Jonah and 2 kids carrying the entire flick…some called it a bootleg version of and 80s up all night style flick, but obviously the comedy seekers are still turing out to watch hill in action. .
