Hey Everyone I’m Chelsea Cannell, Thanks for tuning in to Clevver Movies! Sacha Baron Cohen’s next project will probably involve a little less Sexy Time. The star behind both Borat and Bruno will be taking his brand of funny into the political relm after signing on to produce and Star in Paramount’s “The Dictator!” The film is based on the best-selling novel “Zabbibah and the King” by Saddam Hussein — and while that in itself definitely doesn’t have funny written anywhere near it, it’s safe to assume that’s where it’s headed. Sacha will be playing both The Dictator and a Goat herder in the film. According to the movie’s logline, the story will be about a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed. Larry Charles, who also helmed Borat and Bruno, will direct the film. Paramount apparently won the studio bidding race for the film after sending a couple of goats in paramount t-shirts to Sasha’s house. If only all deals in Hollywood were that easy. The film is budgeted at about $ 58 million dollars and should be a big release, but many people already seem skeptical about the subject matter. We’re curious what you guys think?
