A new Disney action movie inspired by a ride at the theme park, details coming up on clevver movies! Hey guys, Im Tatiana Diana with Clevver Movies and Ive got the latest on The Hill. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is currently in development for a new movie inspired by the Matterhorn ride! Jason Dean Hall will write the script, while Justin Springer from Tron will produce. The idea behind The Hill is to do a thrilling, fast-paced movie centering on five young adventure seekers who, for mysterious reasons, are called to the top of the mountain and encounter some scary business on the journey down…kinda like the Matterhorn ride…kinda. This isn’t the first ride turned flick…Pirates of the Caribbean is actually not only the most successful ride turned movie, but one of the most successful movies, period! The Pirates flicks have earned a total of 3.7 billion worldwide so far. Other rides turned movies in the works include Haunted Mansion, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and Magic Kingdom.
