Hey hey movie buffs im Tatiana carrier for clevver movies with some exciting THOR updates!!! I mean, any update from thor is exciting right?! Well first off, we finally have a writer!!!! Its looking like Marvel Studios has set Saving Private Ryan scribe Robert Rodat to rewrite Thor 2 for director Alan Taylor. Next up in thor news, Jaimie Alexander has confirmed to MTV that her character Sif will appear in Thor 2. Why do I have a feeling she is going to be all up on my man??? Regardless, heres what she had to say “I’m a comic book nerd at heart, so I’d like to see the relationship between Thor and Sif progress….Whether or not they do that, we’re not sure yet. We’ll see. I think that element will be in there, but I don’t know how much.” UHH HUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! And finally good ol Loki has some infor for us. Tom Hiddleson recently dished about the thor sequel and what his supervillian character loki will be up to next. He said “Loki’s eternal predilection is to dance on the fault lines of villainy and redemption” he went on to say, “I think whatever happens to him, he’ll always keep people guessing.” In addition to Hiddleston, “Thor 2″ will bring back Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Anthony Hopkins and Walt Disney Pictures has scheduled to release the film in the U.S. theaters on November 15, 2013. So what do you guys think about all the new info! The one thing I want to know is…with Natalie portman AND Jaime Alexander on the same screen with thor and this “developing relationship” who will score the dude with the hammer? Maybe I can squeeze into that script for a hot second? Here’s a look at what’s coming from them in 2012. . Hey guys, you’re tuned in to ClevverMovies, your source for all things movie news. I’m Tatiana Carrier, and we’ve got the breakdown on the newest films to be released by Universal this year. Since it is their 100th anniversary, we’ll expect that all their new movies will be bigger and badder than ever before. Here’s a look. First up is Contraband, coming out this Friday. Mark Whalberg leads this fast-paced thriller as a man trying to leave the smuggling world behind with one last run. Big Miracle stars Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski in the true story of whale lovers joined by rival world forces to save a family of gray whales trapped in the Arctic. Look for this film Feb. 3. On Feb. 10, Denzel Washington returns to the screen in Safe House as a dangerous renegade from the CIA, joined by rookie operative Ryan Reynolds as they try to stay alive long enough to uncover who wants them dead. Dr. Suess’ The Lorax is brought to life in 3D-CGI Mar. 2, featuring the voices of Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, and Taylor Swift. American Pie returns in American Reunion on Apr. 6. The characters we all love are back for their high school reunion. Jason Segel and Judd Apatow reunite for The Five-Year Engagement, a story of love that picks up where most rom-coms leave off, in which Segel and Emily Blunt’s engagement keeps getting tripped up on the way to the aisle. This film is due out Apr. 27 Alexander Skarsgard, Rhianna, and Liam Neeson star in Battleship, an epic battle for Earth across the seas, land, and skies. Based on the classic board game, this film hits theaters May 18. On June 1, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron star in Snow White and the Huntsman, based on the classic fairy tale with the twist that Snow White is trained in the art of war. Chris Hemsworth co-stars. Seth MacFarlane hits the big screen for the first time July 13th as the writer, director, and voice star of Ted, Mark Whalberg’s favorite childhood teddy bear who won’t leave his side. The Bourne Legacy continues the world of Robert Ludlum’s novels with a new operative played by Jeremy Renner, due out Aug. 3. Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton co-star. Oct. 7 brings us Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston in Wanderlust, a comedy about a couple who leave the big city and join a freewheeling community populated by characters who embrace a different way of looking at life. Sept. 28 you can check out Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson in Savages, the story of two pot growers who face off against the Mexican drug cartel who kidnapped their shared girlfriend, played by Blake Lively. The film also stars Benicio del Toro, Salma Hayeck, and John Travolta. Keanu Reeves leads a band of outcast samurai in a quest to seek vengeance on the overlord who killed their master and banished their kind in 47 Ronin, an epic 3D adventure due out on Nov. 21 Les Miserables, the successful stage musical based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel is at long last brought to the screen on Dec. 7. Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, and Amanda Seyfried star. On Dec. 21, Judd Apatow spins off the characters of Pete and Debbie from Knocked Up, looking at how they are dealing with their life in This Is 40. Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, Melissa McCarthy, and Albert Brooks star. Pitch Perfect is a comedy starring Anna Kendrick as a college freshman who doesn’t fit into any clique until she finds one that she would never have picked: a cappella. This flick doesn’t have a release date set yet, but be sure to keep your eye out in the coming year. Russel Crowe stars in The Man With The Iron Fists as a man who makes weapons for a small village which must defend itself in feudal China. Lucy Liu and Pam Grier co-star. Hey guys, thanks for watching clevver movies im your host Tatiana Carrier with the latest on the pinochhino movie, and our iron man who is now attached to the flick!!! . According to the Hollywood reporter, Tim Burton has his eye on ONE guy to be geppetto in his live action version of the classic tale of Pinocchio, and that guy is none other than Robert Downey Junior! . The Pinocchio story was first published in an Italian children’s book written by Carlo Collodi and has been adapted several times, including the 1940 animated Disney classic. For those of you NOT familiar, Geppetto, is the woodcarver who creates the puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy…the puppet: Pinocchio. . As of now neither Burton nor Downey has a deal with Warners, but sources say Burton is keen to direct the film and has begun talks with the studio, so it’s just a question of whether Pinocchio will be his next movie. He also is eyeing an adaptation of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children at Fox, among other projects. Warners wants to move quickly with Pinocchio, so if Burton chooses to make another movie first, the studio might move on to other directors. . Lets hope he gets to it, bc I cant place a better man to put this whimsical story on the big screen!
