More details on Thor 2! Hey guys, Im Tatiana Carrier and Ive got the latest on thor 2! We recently reported that Patty Jenkins may be directing Thor 2, and now we learn more about the highly anticipated sequel! Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently told EW that plans were developing fast for the sequel, which he said would “take Thor literally to other worlds.” He also explained that while Movie goers will see Chris Hemsworth as the hammer-swinging hero in The Avengers next May, Thor 2 would “primarily be the journey of that character, of he and Jane Foster played by Natalie Portman and how the new dynamic with his father (Odin, played by Anthony Hopkins) is working out, as well as what are the broader stakes for The Nine Worlds,” . And for those of you who don’t kow, The Nine Worlds are the different planes of existence, of which Earth is one, that Thor and his Asgardian people recognize. We are thinking the exisstantce of the 9 worlds leaves the possibility of creating all new intergalactic heros and villians which could literally take future story lines anywhere! Hey everyone, thanks for checking back with clevver movies, Im Tatiana Carrier and Ive got the latest on 2 huge premieres set for Fantastic Fest! Its looking like The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence witll be having its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on opening night courtesy of IFC Midnight and COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN’S HOPE will premiere on closing night…both highly antipated and both accompanied by some awesome, in theme parties! THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE became a cultural sensation after its premiere at Fantastic Fest in 2009 where it won Best Horror Film and Best Actor. So it comes as no surpise that the festival is excited to welcome back director Tom Six and producer Ilona Six with the second installment of the series. Not only will the flick premiere at the fest, but the entire opening night will be dedicated to it with an opening night party that will be themed to the film, featuring live music from The Charles Edward Cheese band and an attempt to break the world’s record for the longest human centipede conga line. Another premiere that will occur at the fest is COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN’S HOPE which is directed by Morgan Spurlock and produced by Thomas Tull… The documentary film follows five people as they descend upon the Mecca of “geek culture,”… San Diego’s Comic-Con Convention. Following THAT premiere, the closing night party will be an epic superhero-themed carnival with costume contests and activities that will bring out the fanboy/girl in everyone. According to the the Hollywood reporter, NASA, who usually works with film makers who are showcasing the moon or space in their movies, is NOT helping with Apollo 18… Apollo 17 was the last mission to the moon. Apollo 18 was scrapped, because interest in the moon began waning, so they stopped the program. The Dimension Films project is shot in a documentary-style, and NASA does not want the public to get confused. Here’s what Bert Ulrich, NASAs liaison for multimedia told the LA times, “Apollo 18 is not a documentary…The film is a work of fiction, and we always knew that. We were minimally involved with this picture. We never even saw a rough cut.” Ulrich also expressed he wasn’t a fan of the marketing strategy behind the flick…insinuating that the ploy to have movie goers think it was a documentary is not right, heres what he had to say, “The idea of portraying the Apollo 18 mission as authentic is simply a marketing ploy. Perhaps a bit of a ‘Blair Witch Project’ strategy to generate hype,” Apollo 18 is now out in theatres and stars warren Christie and llyod owen. Its looking like Lionsgate is really utilizing the world wide web, specifically twitter and their dedicated website to drive ticket sales for the family fight film, Warrior which pre-releases labor day weekend. Director Gavin O’Connor’s action drama will screen on Sunday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. in theaters nationwide. Ahead of the pre-release, Lionsgate and Twitter have created the hashtag #WARRIORMovieSneakPreview to use tweets to drive ticket sales and generate word of mouth around the film. Lionsgate also created a dedicated website for Sept. 4 ticket purchases and you can check our description for a link to that site if youd like to check it out yourself! Warrior is about stars Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as two estranged brothers facing the fight of a lifetime. The film also stars Nick Nolte and Jennifer Morrison.
