Hey everyone, Im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the details on a little star wars boycott going on in a BIG way! Lucas Film has announced some pretty major changed to the upcoming 9disc blu ray release of the star wars complete saga which will include 40 hours of extra footage. Diehard Star wars fans are not too pumped about some of the changes…for example, the ewoks eyes have been cgi-ed to blink, which wasn’t in the original…yoda has been digitally altered, and even obi wan kenobis dragon howl has changed..and astly, and maybe most upsetting to fans, Darth Vader screaming “No” when he kills the Emperor sounds significantly different from the original. Some argue these changes are for the good, but star wars fans say the integrity of the orignals are gone, and they are BOYCOTTING the sales of the 9 disc blu ray which goes on sale sept 16th. The fans are saying quote, “about film preservation and our cultural heritage. Lucas has every right to make as many new versions of his films as he wants — fine, go crazy, George — but he has no right to replace the original versions of his films.” What do you guys think about this star wars controversy?
