‘Insidious’ Sequel Coming 2013

Hey evyerone thanks so much for checking back with clevver movies, im Tatiana carrier with clevver movies with the latest on Insidious, the sequel. . Acording to the Hollywood reporter, original creative team, director James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell, are in talks to return for the sequel to one of the scariest flicks of last year, Insiduous. Jason Blum will be back as producer. . For those of you who didn’t see the first movie, it starred Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne as a couple who at first think their house is haunted but come to the realization it’s one of their sons who is possessed. The first movie ended with Wilson being possessed after a journey to a realm of the dead…so perhaps we hang out with his scary ass for part duex? . Whatever the reason, we don’t blame them for making another insidious…The original was released in April and made almost $100 million worldwide on a budget of only $1.5 million. . As of now, it is unclear whether the sequel will continue the story or whether the lead actors will return. But we will keep you posted as we get more deets…the sequel is scheduled to go into production this year for a 2013 release. . SO will you guys get scared a second time with indisious the sequal? Andy Serkis Oscar Snubbed

Mo-Cap Legend Andy Serkis wasn’t able to pull of an Oscar nom for his role in ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ but here at HollywoodStreams we wanted to be damned sure his performance was not forgotten. We scoured the film for every tasty acting morsel he melted on the screen with true primate physicality. Hats off to Mr. Serkis and I’m sure there will be a category for his talents in the near future. Until then we’ll wait for ‘The Hobbit’.

‘Lord of the Rings’ LEGO Toys Revealed

I’m Tatiana Carrier, coming to you from our hollywood headquarters with the latest on these must have toys! . Lego and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have revealed images of the new Lego toys based on the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Although it’s been quite sometime since the final installment of The Lord of the Rings trilogy hit theatres, it’s nice that the franchise is still selling new merchandise for those dedicated fans. Lego got the entire access to the trilogy characters and stories, as well as to Peter Jackson’s new adaptions of J.R.R Tolkien’s creations, ‘The Hobbit: A Unexpected Journey’ and ‘The Hobbit: There and Back Again’, to create the new line of Lego LOTR toys. The Lord of the Rings toys will be released in stores this June, while ‘The Hobbit’ line will be released sometime December. Lord of the Rings heroes such as Frodo, Aragorn, Gandalf the Grey AND Gimili will be featured in the first LOTR Lego toy line. As for the second line, it includes the evil characters such as Orcs, Ringwraiths and the creepy Gollum. . Well, prepare to start recreating epic scenes from the film! ‘Watchmen’ Prequels Coming – "Before Watchmen"

Hey movie buffs, I’m Joshua Ovenshire. Straight from our friends at The Hollywood reporter, DC comics announced today that they will be going back to the 1986 graphic novel “The Watchmen” by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons for a new set of comics. We’ll be seeing a series stories featuring all the different characters in their own storylines is a series called “Before Watchmen”. That’s right. All of these different stories will be showing us the individual characters BEFORE The Watchmen events take place. Moore, as the original creator is actually completely against this idea. But DC backs up their decision saying that enough time has passed and this is a way to keep the characters relevant. . Alan Moore was also very much against the movie adaptation that was done in 2009. And speaking of which, with DC going back to The Watchmen, does this mean, that we may see a prequel to the movie as well? Granted that in 2009, watchmen opened well with $55.2 Million, it only made $181 million worldwide. Seeing that it cost 130 to make, with such a low profit, I see a prequel being very unlikely. But really, it comes down to how the fans react and if the series of comics actually does well. . As for me, I’ve been enjoying DC lately. But don’t they cover enough back story, in the original Watchmen already? Do we really need to go back? The Watchmen is the highest grossing graphic novel of all time and redefined the genre. Hey guys thanks so much for tuning back into clevver movies, Im your host, Tatiana carrier! As you guys know, its Tuesday which means there are a handful of new movies out of bluray/dvd so we break it down and let you know what you should buy rent or download! . This week we have 3 top picks starting with Drive, which definitely makes it on my top films of 2011 list. Starring Ryan Gosling, this film is the story of A mysterious Hollywood stuntman, mechanic and getaway driver who lands himself in trouble when he helps out his neighbour. Darker than I had expected, but definitely worth skipping the rental and just buying…trust me on this one. . Next up we have IN TIME…In a future where people stop aging at 25, but are engineered to live only one more year, having the means to buy your way out of the situation is a shot at immortal youth. Here, Will Salas finds himself accused of murder and on the run with a hostage – a connection that becomes an important part of the way against the system. The film stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried and we think this is a great choice for you thrill seekers out there…or if you have the timberlake fever… . And finally, for those looking for a good laugh, we have the big year….this comedy stars owen Wilson, steve martin and jack black and is about three avid bird watchers who compete to spot the rarest birds in North America at a prestigious annual event. I mean the story line alone is ridiculous enough…combine that with the comedic chops of martin, black and Wilson, and we have a winner folks! . Evangeline Lilly Talks the hobbit! Hey guys thanks so much for tuning back into clevver movies, im your host Tatiana carrier with the latest on the hobbit! . Entertainment weekly recently spoke to Lilly about her upcoming role as a kickass warrior elf in the hobbit…and ofcourse we have the details! . When Lilly was asked about her character Tauriel, who’s a Mirkwood elf, and the skills she had to aquire to play that role, heres what she had to say! : “Yes, she is a warrior. She’s actually the head of the Elven guard. She’s the big shot in the army. So she knows how to wield any weapon, but the primary weapons that she uses are a bow and arrow and two daggers. And she’s lethal and deadly. You definitely wouldn’t want to be caught in a dark alley next to Tauriel.” . When asked if Tauriel was involved with the dwarves being captured…heres what lilly said, “I think basically what you’re asking is if she’s in the film very much. She’s not in the first film very much. She comes into the first film near the end, and has a very small part to play. Her role in the second film is much more involved. Although, I have to say, when I first read the scripts and took the job, she had a lot less going on in the second film. I think the role is becoming a bit more demanding than I had expected it to be. There’s a lot more for me to do now, which is a lot of fun, but it’s a little more pressure.” . Hey guys, Tatiana Carrier here with ClevverMovies, and it’s Top 5 Tuesday. In honor of MMA fighter Gina Carano’s starring role in this week’s ‘Haywire,’ we thought we’d count down our favorite athlete-turned-action stars. . First up is Vinnie Jones. This British former soccer star turned his tough footballer image into an aggressive and intimidating acting persona, starring in Guy Ritchie’s ‘Snatch’ as Bullet-Tooth Tony and ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ as Juggernaut. . Next up is the man who can slam a revolving door. Before becoming a pop culture icon, Chuck Norris was a nationally ranked martial artist. He rose to fame with ‘Walker Texas Ranger’ and a number of action films, but we know him best for his fitness infomercials and cameo in Dodgeball. We’re looking forward to seeing him in ‘The Expendables 2′ later this year. . Our number 3 pick is Jason Statham. Our favorite bad-ass bad boy onscreen was once a professional diver on Britain’s National Diving Squad. Statham rose to stardom after his roles in Guy Ritchie’s ‘Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels’ and ‘Snatch,’ but it wasn’t until he was given a starring role as ‘The Transporter’ that he was really able to reveal his bad-ass-ness. . Number 2 is Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. This WWE superstar made the move to film as ‘The Scorpion King’ in 2002, and hasn’t lost steam since. His versatility in both action and comedic roles have made him a superstar film actor, and he’s only been getting better with age. . And finally, our number one athlete turned actor can be none other than the governator himself, Mr. Ahr-nold Schwarzenegger. Before becoming a sci-fi film legend, he was an internationally renowned body builder. But after his roles in ‘Conan the Barbarian’ and ‘The Terminator’ that led to roles in ‘Total Recall,’ ‘Twins,’ and ‘Batman and Robin,’ Schwarzenegger has become a household name. . Steven Spielberg Talks Next Project ‘Robopocalypse’

Hey hey, Tatiana Carrier here in Hollywood at the Clevver Movies headquarters and if you have wondering what exactly happens when technology becomes smarter than we are; the answer is a ‘Robopocalypse’ and leave it to the genius director Steven Spielberg to make a big splash. Spielberg’s next big blockbuster is an adaptation of the bestselling Daniel H Wilson Novel and screenplay written by Drew Goddard. . No doubt that whatever Spielberg touches will turn to gold which is why he is very selective when deciding what to tackle. Spielberg said it all starts with the script: it’s not worth taking myself away from my family if I don’t have something I’m really passionate about. . So what exactly is a Robopacalypse? Spielberg said in a recent interview QUOTE “Robopacalypse is a movie about a global war between man and machine. The movie takes place in 15 or 20 years and will be a future that we can relate to. It’s about the consequences of creating technologies which make our lives easier, and what happens when that technology becomes smarter than we are. ‘Contraband’ Review Round-Up

The critics have spoken and we have the low down on what they are saying about Mark Wahlbergs, Contraband! Hey guys, thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, Im your host Tatiana Carrier with your review round up on Contraband! Now you guys can see what the critics are saying before you head out to the theatres and see the flick yourselves! Contraband is about a former smuggler who heads to Panama to score millions of dollars in counterfeit bills in order to protect his brother….the fil;m stars mark Walberg and kate beckinsale. . Top Critic Roger Ebert from Chicago sun times wasn’t a fan, he said, “”Contraband” involves a lot of energy, but I’m getting tired of violent retreads of these heist elements.” . However, Justin Chang from variety disagreed, he said, “Reasonably swift and effective.” . And finally, Todd Mccarthy from Hollywood Reporter wasn’t RAVING about the flick, but appreciated the gritty raw nature of the flick….he said, “The gritty style only accentuates the increasingly far-fetched dramatics in Contraband, an involving, atmospherically grungy mid-register thriller.” . ‘Avatar’ Sequels Pushed

Hey guys, Tatiana Carrier here in Hollywood and I have the latest in 3D movie news. . Time keeps on slipping away from when the Avatar sensation first popped into theaters kicking 3D in the butt. Since the debut of the film, sequels were first announced to be expected in 2013 and 2014. Now according to producer Jon Landau, Avatar 2 it is still four years away and Avatar 3 can be expected one year later. . So let’s fast forward four years down the road and that bring us to 2016 with even higher expectations for the 3D blowout. Landau promises that Avatar 2 is going to showcase advanced technology, from the 3D camera system used to the CG and performance capture and also a higher frame rate. Landau said that is what he and Cameron are most excited and interested in pushing. . Are you surprised at the extra-long wait for the next dose of blue blood?
