According to Batman On Film the dark knight rises trailer will NOT be shown before the wrath of the titans which was previously anticipated. . On top of this disappointment comes another super sized downer. The Dark Knight Rises trailer will also not be shown during this years super bowl… . SO WHEN IN THE BAT WORLD will we see our next dose of the bat? Well its now speculated that some time in MAY we may just get a glimpse… and say something about the trailer possibly being attached to Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp on May 11th, which is also a Warner Bros film…but who really knows at this point! . Happy holidays from clevver movies, Im your host Tatiana carrier with a fun countdown of our favorite uncnvential Christmas movies! So lets get started! .5. Elf- ok so we know that for an unconventional list this a pretty conventional topic, I mean an elf trying to find his true identity in the wake of Christmas? Well Will Ferrel takes it to a whole new level in this comedy and the story takes an interesting look at a seemingly classic theme, which qualifies it for our countdown. 4. Edward Scissorhands- This film stars the incredible Johnny Depp of course, as a man who has scissors for hands and falls in love with a normal teenage girl. And while this movie isn’t centered entirely around Christmas, it still ends with a touching holiday scene, which makes this quirky flick from Tim Burton one of our favorites of the season. 3. Bad Santa- This raunchy comedy stars Billy Bob Thornton and is really the anti-Christmas movie, or the perfect Christmas film, depending on the demographic. Following a con-man and his partner, Billy Bob poses as Santa and robs department stores on Christmas Eve, which is a feel-good message that’s perfect for the holidays right? 2. Citizen Kane- Kicking it back to a classic, this film opened in 1941 and stars the iconic Orson Welles. The film dives into the life of Charles Kane through a series of flashbacks to try and figure out the meaning behind his last word “Rosebud.” He dies clutching his snowglobe, and not to be a spoiler to any that haven’t seen it, the theme of Christmas is very apparent in this film. 1. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation- to lighten things back up we have a National Lampoon classic. We had to put this at the top of our list because we cannot go a year without watching it. Almost every Christmas cliché gets ruined or made fun of and the craziest disasters ensue. Watching this movie can make any family Holiday gathering seem tolerable. . Recently named sexiest man alive, Bradley Cooper took home the award for International Man of the Year, and other winners included Hugh Laurie, Duran Duran and Keith Richards. . Though these men took home the honors, they weren’t the only ones in attendance. The guest list for this party included Anton Yelchin, Kerry Washington, Ewan McGregor, Chris Pine, Emma Roberts, Zooey Deschanel among so many others! What do you guys think? Weekend Box Office Wrap-Up: Puss In Boots, In Time, The Rum Diary

As I suspected, Puss in Boots was the top DOG, ERRR CAT of the box office this past weekend with 34 million dollars…besides being a fun family flick…the movie stars a smooth talking, sword wielding, accent rocking cat. Puss stole just about every scene in the Shrek movies, and won over the hearts of movie goers to the point of getting his very own movie. In my opinion Cats in general are world dominating geniuses who are often over looked in Hollywood…often times movies go for the chiuaua look, which totally confuses me bc they appear to rats on steroids. IN conclusion, cats are the perfect animal choice to star in a movie…many cats have made movie history, mr jinx, mr, bigglesworth, SIMBA, and up and comer, tinkerbell finding nemo. Paranormal Activity 3 came in 2nd place with 19 million throughout the weekend. Now as you guys know, Paranormal ran a fun promotional screening at select theatres where movie goers got to see all 3 paranormal flicks in chronological order all for the price of one ticket…you even got free popcorn at the screening! The paranormal franchise now has a cume of 91.5 million after this weekend. Coming in 3rd place is Justin Timberlakes InTime with 12million throughout the weekend. The flick opened this weekend and costars Amanda Seyfried. now the premises of this movie is that time is money…literally. Footloose came in 4th place with 5.5 Million. Footloose has been on the top 5 for the past couple of weekends proving that if done right, remakes CAN be a hit. The flick has brought in 38.5 million since it opened 2 weeks ago. The rum diary also opened this past weekend starring Johnny Depp and brought in 5 million bucks… the rum diary is about American journalist Paul Kemp takes on a freelance job in Puerto Rico for a local newspaper during the 1950s and struggles to find a balance between island culture and the expatriates who live there. Now I personally love anything depp does… Another movie that didn’t do so well in the box office but killed it at sundance, was my personal favorite movie of the weekend, like crazy. Chad and I actually hit the red carpet premiere for the movie, and I must say…I love anton yelchin more and more each time I see him…hes had a really great year so far and he seems to be a star on the rise to watch out for. Another person to keep your eye on is Felicity Jones who won best actress for like crazy at sundance…another award the flick took home last winter at the festival was for BEST PICTURE. In 5th place with a Worldwide Gross of almost 891 million dollars is the spider man trilogy. Spider-Man 3 was the third a final in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy. It’s not only the most successful film in the series worldwide, but also Marvel’s most successful film to date. In 4th place is The Pirates of the Caribean with a Worldwide Gross: $963,420,425. The third of Disney’s Johnny Depp-starring pirate flicks is currently the most expensive film every made (at about $300 million), but found lots of love overseas. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End had one of the biggest overseas openings of all time. While the threequel was at first supossed to be the final in a trilogy, a fourth film, On Stranger Tides, was released on May 2011.
