Hey there Johnny Depp fans, Im Tatiana Carrier with Clevver Movies and Ive got the latest on everyones favoritre pirate! Weve just learned via Deadline that Depp is lining up his next two projects. Along with his film company, Depp has purchased 2 projects. The first project being “The Night Stalker” which will be a remake of the 1970s tv movie where Depp will pay a Chicago based newspaper reporter. His character, named Cal Kolchak, will investigate super natural crimes throughout the flick. Sounds pretty cool! The Second project will be a re-telling of the story of Paul Revere. Word from Deadline is that Johnny Depp will play Paul Revere while Lee and Janet Batchler, writers of Batman Forever, are working on the script. We recently reported that Depp was in talks to do ANOTHER installment of Pirates, but still no confirmation on that. Depp’s next film will be The Rum Diary based on the book by Hunter S. Thompson. He will then become Tonto in The Lone Ranger alongside The Social Network’s Armie Hammer. Hey guys, Amanda Janner here for Clevver Movies with the latest news on Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows. The director confirms Dark Shadows will not be filmed in 3D. He says, “I have no plans for that. There’s people like, ‘Everything’s gonna be in 3D,’ or ‘I hate 3D!’ I think people should have a choice. I don’t think it should be forced on anybody.” Burton also talked about the tone of the Dark Shadows soap opera, and if it will be similar the 1966 original. He says, “I’m early into it…I’m very intrigued by the tone. It’s a real ethereal tone we’re trying to go for and I don’t know yet.” The film borrows from the cast of Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter set to star in Dark Shadows. Cannell and Patrick Hasburgh and has now decided to make a return to the Street that got him started! Hey there Movie Fans, I’m Chelsea cannell here will an update on Ghost rider. While doing press for “limitless,” Johnny Whitworth recently revealed that he will be playing “Blackout” in the upcoming Ghost Rider flick: Spirit of Vengeance. Thankfully, He leaked the info to a reporter which answers the villain question we’ve all been asking. He added that Blackout is human for about 70 pages of the script before being turned into Blackout by the devil in order to take on Ghost Rider. His powers of course, revolve around his ability to wipe out any existing light. Hmm, I wouldn’t mind that power?! Anyway, His light manipulation abilities along with increased speed and strength make him quite the match for GR. The film was shot in Turkey and Romania with Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor in the director’s chair. Also, Nicholas cage is back in his role as stunt motorcyclist Johnny blaze in the film that hits theaters on February 17th 2012.
