Hey Everyone I’m Chelsea Cannell and you’re watching Clevver Movies! The Hollywood Reporter is revealed that Ewan McGregor is in talks with New Line and Legendary for their re-telling of Jack and the Beanstalk called “Jack the Giant Killer.” The tale will be about a farm boy who leads a charge to free a princess taken hostage by a giant! Mcgregor would play the leader of the king’s elite guard who helps to fight off the giants. The movie is in full casting mode and rumor is Nicholas Hoult will play the peasant while Stanley Tucci is eyeing the role of the advisor to the king who is also the film’s villain! To play the leaders of the giants, the film has cast both Bill Nighy and John Kassir. For the role of the princess, it is supposedly between Adelaide Kane and Eleanor Tomlinson from last year’s Alice in wonderland. The movie is set to start shooting in London in late March.
