I’m your host, Chelsea Cannell. We just barely got past opening weekend and here’s a rumor about the sequel for Inception. Given the cliffhanger ending, there’s some possibility, but it’s a long shot at best, at this stage of the game. Possible? Sure. Likely? Not so much. But then, they were talking sequel for Zombieland two weeks before that even came out in theaters and look what happened there. Right now Inception’s made a ton of money after a HUGE opening weekend. So it’s really no surprise that studio may want another one, but are we really to believe that Chris Nolan is gonna let that happen? The argument is that a sequel would likely lesson an a-plus execution on the original, something Nolan isn’t expected to let happen. So while the director probably isn’t in favor, it seems the cast of the film isn’t either. MTV caught up with a lot of them at the premiere and tried to plant the sequel rumors but no one seemed to take the bait. But with many taking the “dream stance” on the final scene, it seems the door for a 2nd installment has been left wide open. So what are your thoughts on an Inception Sequel?
