I’m your host Tatiana Carrier coming to your from our Hollywood headquarters! Well, if you weren’t already excited about the new Amazing Spider-Man, the Comic-Con Annual Magazine released some inserts from an interview with director Marc Webb, who dropped some details on some of the choices that were made when bringing his version of Spider-Man to the big screen. Webb was quick to point out that this reboot is not a simple remake of the Sam Raimi trilogy, and that may explain why the love interest and villains were changed. Webb also hints at what the December poster tagline “The Untold Story” really meant, but only by saying that not only does it feature new catalysts, but also that this will be an entirely different Peter Parker/Spider-Man. . When asked about whether or not this reboot of Spider-Man will be true to the original comic book character’s wise-cracking fun, Webb responded with “There’s a punk rock quality to Peter Parker that’s really irreverent and fun and that’s something that Andrew [Garfield] embodies in a way that we haven’t seen before. Certainly the materials that have come out have a darker sentiment or there’s a darker projection, but we’re very keen on staying loyal to the humor of Spider-Man.” . Webb also discussed the fact that he conceptualized the film as a 3-D film, since so much of Spider-Man’s actions really lend themselves to the 3-D format. “I thought if there’s ever a movie that should be in 3D, it’s Spider-Man for crying out loud. We shot this all in stereo so it was native 3D. Nothing has been converted. But those point-of-view sequences, those came very directly from a philosophy about putting the audience in Spider-Man’s shoes. We wanted them to feel what he feels, and that’s where those sequences came from.” . Well, while Webb didn’t drop as many hints to the storyline as we would’ve liked to see, these are still some great insights as to what to expect from the new Spider-Man franchise. Hey guys thanks so much for watching clevver movies, Im your host Tatiana carrier with the details on miss katniss and her Oscar worthy performance! . The Hunger Games wont release until March 23rd of this year, but according to entertainment weekly, director Gary Ross is already predicting the possibility of another nomination for his 21-year-old star Jennifer Lawrence come next year’s Oscars. With Confidence, the director said, “The range in this performance, the emotional terrain that she investigates, the demands of what this role are…It’s such an intensely physical role and an emotional one. She carries the entire movie. To be able to do that at that age is so kind of incredible that I was in a little bit of awe. Do I think she should be nominated? Absolutely.” . And lawarance wasn’t shy about her love for the director Gary Ross, whom she bonded with during the 83 day shoot…she said, “We were all a family,…Everything that I love about the movie, and everything that got me to say yes to this movie, was Gary.” . And spoiler alert…ross shared more fond memories of making the highly anticipated film series…he said, “”I love the title Catching Fire because from the moment Katniss was willing to eat the berries…the moment she was willing to give her life for something larger than herself, she set off a chain reaction that was at once bigger than her and also because of her. That’s a very exciting movie to make because you’re seeing the emergence of a leader. It’s the birth of a revolution so it has context that’s larger than just the Games themselves.” . Ok great, as if we weren’t already exploding with excitement to see the first installment of the huger games, but now we have to get a little taste of catching fire! I don’t know about you guys, but all this talk has me even more pumped for the march 23rd release of the hunger games . This weekend we have tons of goodies releasing, but who will reign champ at the box office come Monday??? Here are our predictions! . We are thinking Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows will come in first with $54 million throughout the weekend. Robert Downey junior and jude law are at it again! In the second holmes flick, Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty. Will they succeed? I guiess we will just have to wait and see! . Another new release, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked should bring in about $30 million placing the singing chipmunks in 2nd place throught out the weekend. Because this is the newest family friendly flick for the weekend, we think a solid family crowd will turn out to see Alvin simon and Theodore in action! . IN third should be Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol with $10 million for the weekend! The movie opened earlier this week and the crowds were larger than life…and we think that little dark knight rises prologue may have something to do with it! Also, 10 million isn’t that much for a movie like MI…especially a cruise flick! . IN 4th place should be new years eve with 7 million. As you guys know the ciritcs and audiences alike were not huge fans of the ensemble rom com, but we still think the star power will draw in crowds throughout the holidays . And finally, the last opener of the weekend, Young Adult, should bring in about 5 million throughout the weekend. The reviews on the diablo cody r rated comedy were OK across the bored, but this will be a good choice for those comedy seekers out there. Hey guys, thanks for checking back with us at clevver movies, im your host Tatiana carrier with the details behind the latest superhero who may just be getting her own film! . Superhero hype recently sat down and chatted with Black Widow actress Scarlett Johanson and discussed the possibility of scar jo getting her very own black widow flick… . Jhanasson first ofcourse gushed about her love for her character, she said, “I love playing the Widow. I think she’s got a very interesting past, a lot of storylines to explore, and certainly Kevin (Feige) loves that character,” Now on to whether or not the bolack widow will be hitting the big screen solo mish: scarlett said, “I think that Marvel has a very personal relationship with their fans, and I think if the fans want it, and the audience wants it, nothing’s impossible. I would love to explore that option as well. Like I said, I love the character and it would be nice to see something nice and gritty.” . An even bigger question on many fans minds is whether we might see Natasha in Iron Man 3, due to start shooting in 2012. Of course, Johansson didn’t kept mum…she said, “I’ve heard nothing. You know how it goes. Sometimes two days before, it’s like ‘And here’s your next mission.’ I have no idea.” .
