Hey guys, thanks for checking back with us at clevver movies, Im Tatiana carrier and ive got the latest on Dumb & Dumber! According to Deadline, Peter and Bobby Farrelly are moving forward with another project they’ve long wanted to do: a second installment of the New Line 1994 hit Dumb and Dumber. The intention is to bring back Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, the lovable dimwitted pals with big hearts and small brains. Sean Anders and John Morris have been hired to write the script and the HOPE is for the Farrelly Brothers to direct…which would just seal the deal on this being a homerun down memory lane! So why make another? Well, the original Dumb and Dumber, made on a $16 million budget, grossed nearly $250 million worldwide. Then there came the awful, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. Made on the cheap with lookalike actors…but still obviously not horrible enough to kill the franchise. As soon as we get more deets we will keep you guys posted. Thaks for hanging out, see ya guys soon!

Mary Elizabeth Winstead talks about her new movie ‘The Thing’, how her character “Kate Lloyd” fits into the story, how the team responds to finding the alien specimen, how paranoia serves as an important theme in the film and how the film keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. The Thing hits theaters on October 14th, 2011. Cast: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton Antarctica: an extraordinary continent of awesome beauty. It is also home to an isolated outpost where a discovery full of scientific possibility becomes a mission of survival when an alien is unearthed by a crew of international scientists. The shape-shifting creature, accidentally unleashed at this marooned colony, has the ability to turn itself into a perfect replica of any living being. It can look just like you or me, but inside, it remains inhuman. In the thriller The Thing, paranoia spreads like an epidemic among a group of researchers as they’re infected, one by one, by a mystery from another planet. Paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has traveled to the desolate region for the expedition of her lifetime. Joining a Norwegian scientific team that has stumbled across an extraterrestrial ship buried in the ice, she discovers an organism that seems to have died in the crash eons ago. But it is about to wake up. When a simple experiment frees the alien from its frozen prison, Kate must join the crew’s pilot, Carter (Joel Edgerton), to keep it from killing them off one at a time. And in this vast, intense land, a parasite that can mimic anything it touches will pit human against human as it tries to survive and flourish. The Thing serves as a prelude to John Carpenter’s classic 1982 film of the same name. Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen, the thriller is produced by Strike Entertainment’s Marc Abraham and Eric Newman (Dawn of the Dead). The Thing footage courtesy Universal Pictures.

Hey everyone, IM Tatiana carrier from clevver movies and ive got some very very very sad news for all you sex and the city fans out there… According to Deadline, Michael Patrick King who was executive producer on the HBO series and directed both sex and the city flicks will NOT be making a prequel to the SATC saga. During the TCA panel, King was asked about a potential sequel prequel movie and he made it very clear he would not be a part of a prequel if it happens. He said, “I am not working ANY sex and the city prequel at all!” He even went as far to admit that he hadn’t ready any of Candace bushnell books and that HIS carrie bradshaw started at 33 and he took her to 43…he went on to say he didn’t want to know who carries parent are and the idea of going backwards, being less evolved is something he cannot even imagine doing. The guy makes a good point but I cant help but bring you this story in sadness. Evolved or not, I can never get enough of Carrie, Miranda, Charolette and Samantha and the thought of no prequel at all makes me very blueee. Yes, theres a small light at the end of this dark tunnel…although King isn’t into a prequel, Im sure someone else will jump on the opportunity, but lets face the man is the KING of sex.

Watch X-Men: First Class Trailer – http://youtu.be/frcCCHb9LHc?hd=1 http://bit.ly/clevvermovies – Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies – Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies – Follow Us! The first reviews of X-Men: First Class are in- and it’s quote astonishing! We’ve got the scoop.. Next. For Clevver Movies, I’m Andrea Feczko. It’s hard to believe the opening of X-Men: First Class is right around the corner, and the first reviews coming in are saying this is going to blow your mind. Collider.com says “It’s a huge home run.” Hitfix elaborates a little more saying the prequel quote “uses your expectations about the genre to set you up one way, then time and again, reaches for something a bit more perverse or eccentric or more heartfelt. It’s a genuinely good movie, not just a good superhero movie.” Wow, if that doesn’t get you pumped to see it, I don’t know what will. It’s good to hear that with all the success of the X-Men franchise- or all the Marvel movies for that matter- there is still room to be surprised. Are you going to see X-Men: First Class? Oz: The Great and Powerful Update – Robert Downey Jr. Out/Johnny Depp In?
Turns out Robert Downey Jr won’t be going to OZ, But Johnny Depp could be — Stay Tuned! . Hey Everyone I’m Chelsea Cannell and you’re watching Clevver Movies! . Robert Downey Jr. has to be one of the busiest guys in Hollywood. In the next few months alone he’s got at least a handful of projects he’s already attached to. How does a guy that busy find time to do everything he’s committed to? He doesn’t, which is exactly what has happened with OZ The Great and the Powerful. . Downey was scheduled to start shooting OZ later this year, but has now dropped out due to scheduling leaving the studio clamoring for a backup. One possible option Disney already has their eye on is Johnny Depp, who’s a good option but unfortunately is just as busy. . With 2 more pirates films left to shoot, Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows coming up and a commitment to play Tonto in The Lone Ranger, Depp may not be able to fit it in. Which will leave OZ Director Sam Raimi with some pretty big shoes to fill. . So with Downey out, and Depp a definite option, how are you guys feeling about the future of OZ The Great and the Powerful? Give us your casting suggestions in the comment section below. And don’t forget to follow us on twitter @clevvermovies for all the latest Hollywood happenings.
