Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Noomi Rapace, Jared Harris, Eddie Marsan, Stephen Fry Action Adventure Mystery. Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) has always been the smartest man in the room…until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large—Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris)—and not only is he Holmes’ intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Eddie Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder—a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by one Professor Moriarty. Mixing business with pleasure, Holmes tracks the clues to an underground gentlemen’s club, where he and his brother, Mycroft Holmes (Stephen Fry) are toasting Dr. Watson (Jude Law) on his last night of bachelorhood. It is there that Holmes encounters Sim (Noomi Rapace), a Gypsy fortune teller, who sees more than she is telling and whose unwitting involvement in the prince’s murder makes her the killer’s next target. Holmes barely manages to save her life and, in return, she reluctantly agrees to help him. The investigation becomes ever more dangerous as it leads Holmes, Watson and Sim across the continent, from England to France to Germany and finally to Switzerland. But the cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead as he spins a web of death and destruction—all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history. Writer/Director Shane Black Talks "Iron Man 3"

http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies – Follow Us! Shane Black is spilling details on Iron Man 3 — will the next Film be a Thriller? That story up next! Hey There, I’m Chelsea Cannell, thanks for checking out Clevver Movies! We’ve got lots to report on Iron Man 3! Since Jon Favreau left the director’s chair empty after feuding with Marvel, Shane Black has stepped up and will apparently step in as both the film’s director and writer. Over the weekend during a panel at the Omaha Film Festival, Black revealed that the first story meeting on the threequel will take place this week with Robert Downey Jr, who will apparently have a more up front role in the production this time around. Black also divulged that Marvel was unhappy with the iron man sequel so they have decided to take the third installment in more of a tom Clancy thriller type of direction with iron man fighting real world villains! There will also apparently be no cross-over setup in this flick, with no characters from elsewhere in the marvel universe cropping up. Seems hard to believe considering all the cross-over flicks Marvel has in the makes — but for now I guess we’ll just have to take his word for it until Iron Man 3 hits theaters on May 3rd 2013. Weigh in on all this dish in our comment section and then check us out on Twitter @clevver Movies for more movie news! I’m Chelsea Cannell, That’s a wrap!

Oz: The Great and Powerful Update – Robert Downey Jr. Out/Johnny Depp In?

Turns out Robert Downey Jr won’t be going to OZ, But Johnny Depp could be — Stay Tuned! . Hey Everyone I’m Chelsea Cannell and you’re watching Clevver Movies! . Robert Downey Jr. has to be one of the busiest guys in Hollywood. In the next few months alone he’s got at least a handful of projects he’s already attached to. How does a guy that busy find time to do everything he’s committed to? He doesn’t, which is exactly what has happened with OZ The Great and the Powerful. . Downey was scheduled to start shooting OZ later this year, but has now dropped out due to scheduling leaving the studio clamoring for a backup. One possible option Disney already has their eye on is Johnny Depp, who’s a good option but unfortunately is just as busy. . With 2 more pirates films left to shoot, Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows coming up and a commitment to play Tonto in The Lone Ranger, Depp may not be able to fit it in. Which will leave OZ Director Sam Raimi with some pretty big shoes to fill. . So with Downey out, and Depp a definite option, how are you guys feeling about the future of OZ The Great and the Powerful? Give us your casting suggestions in the comment section below.
