Clevver Movies has the low-down on the latest tributes to join the star-studded line-up. You’re back at Clevver Movies. I’m Chelsea Cannel at our Hollywood studio with the Hunger Games casting round-up. With production set to commence very soon, Lionsgate is choosing to continue its current strategy of casting unknowns. Among the tributes joining Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in the Hunger Games arena will be Chris Mark and Jacqueline Emerson, both of whom will represent for District 5. Mark has a resume that boast a wide range of roles as a stunt actor. Emerson has far fewer credits, but her role as Foxface will place her as one of the most featured tributes in the entire film. Also just cast were the tributes from districts 6,7 and 8. District 6′s tributes will be played by two actors with stunt-heavy expertise, Kara Petersen and Ashton Moio, while 7 will be repped by two up and comers Sam Ly and Leigha Hancock. This film actually marks Hancock’s first-ever film. Rounding things out for Panem’s District 8 in the latest casting news are Samuel Tan and Mackenzie Lintz. Both of the District 8 tributes are fairly unknown, but according to a source via MTV.com, Mackenzie Lintz actually screen tested for “True Grit,” so she must be pretty amazing. The Hunger Games reaping is still not over though — we are still waiting on casting news for districts 2, 9 and 10, as well the important role of Haymitch. These actors and actresses will join the previously named talent, as well as Elizabeth Banks and Liam Hemsworth. This film will take a look at North America following a time of unrest, war and disaster, in which two young representatives from each district of the new country, Panem, are forced to fight to the death in the Hunger Games. Who would you like to see cast in the role of Haymitch? Charlie Sheen and John C. Reily are a few of the names that have been tossed into the casting convo, but hit the comments section with your choice. Hey Everyone I’m Chelsea cannell thanks for tuning in to clevver Movies. Two more casting announcements have been released for Lionsgate’s film which seems to be surging to the top of hollywood’s hot project list. First up, Jack Quaid who’s famous parents are Dennis quaid and Meg Ryan — don’t you wish you had those genes- and Leven Rambin of greys anatomy and All my children. The two will play district 1 tributes Marvel and Glimmer and join newly cast Dayo Okeniyi who will play Thresh and Amandla Stenberg who got the role of Rue. Another new addition, Newcomer Willow Shields has also landed a role and will play Primrose Everdeen, Katniss’ younger sister, in the flick. Josh Hutcherson is already set to star as Peeta while Jennifer Lawrence will play Katniss and Liam Hemsworth will take on the role of Gale. Elizabeth banks is reportedly in talks to play Effie Trinket who is Katniss’ showbiz handler complete with a pink do. This project seems to be moving quickly towards its March 23, 2012 release date as casting is definitely heating up. Who are you most excited about joining the cast? Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves & Johnny Depp Being Considered For ‘Robocop’…

Hey There I’m Chelsea cannell coming to you from our clevver movies headquarters here in Hollywood. The Robocop reboot has locked in Jose Padilla to direct and now it’s time to get the cast settled. First up — who’s gonna fill the role of Officer Alex J. Murphy, AKA Robocop. So far so good considering Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves and Johnny depp are said to be early contenders for the role. The script is still being worked out by Josh Zetumer which gives the studio some time before they have to make a casting choice, and of course some time for those actors to drop out if they read it and decid they are not interested. Hey Everyone, I’m Chelsea Cannell here with a Clevver Movies update on Total Recall. Ever since this project got announced, we’ve been curious who u would fill the role’s of Lori and Melina now that Colin Farrell has signed on to play Doug Quiad — the part first made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger . Lori Quaid was first played by Sharon Stone back in 1990 and is considered her breakout role — while Melina, the other female lead and Quaid’s other romantic interest in the story, was originally tacked by Rachel Ticotin. We’ve reported that kate Boswoth, Diane kruger, and Eva Mendes are all interested in playing Lori, While Paula Patton, Eva Green and now Jessica Biel are supposedly eyeing the role of Melina. We have recently found out that Jessica biel HAS landed one of the roles, however while she was said to be looking at Melina, it hasn’t been confriemd which role she’s been cast in. There is apparently a real possibility she may have taken on Lori in the film that will get it’s release on August 3rd 2012. Which role are you HOPING to see Biel in : Lori or Melina? We reported recently that the sequel was in full swing with Liam Neeson signing on to reprise his role in the currently untitled 2nd installment. Now Maggie Grace has also signed on to reprise her role as Kim Mills. Does this mean she’ll be kidnapped yet again? If so, that girl just has the darndest luck! Director Olivier Megaton from Transporter 3 will helm the project written by the guys behind the first Taken, Luc besson and Robert Mark Kamen ?. Looks like Emmy Winner Bryan Cranston is possibly joining the remake of the flick that director Len Wiseman is helming ironically for a company called Original Films Production. Cranston is best known for his work on the AMC show “breaking bad” for which he won an Emmy in 08,09, and 2010. Now he is the latest actor rumored to be joining the reboot of Recall, which will modernize the 1990 science fiction action story which involves Douglas Quaid, the role made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger but recast with Colin Farrell. Cranston, however, would take on the role of Vilos Cohaaagen, the villainous leader first played by Ronnie Cox in the original. So how do you all like the possible addition of Cranston?
