Halfbrick today announced it has joined forces with DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc and THQ to combine the chart-topping Fruit Ninja iOS app with the upcoming DreamWorks Animation motion picture Puss in Boots in theatres October 28, to create Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots. Adding Spanish and fairytale themes from the film to the core Fruit Ninja gameplay, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots features new modes and unlockable weapons and backgrounds. Fruit Ninja: Puss in Bootswill be available on October 20 for $.99 for iPhone and $1.99 for iPad (HD). Phil Larsen, chief marketing officer at Halfbrick said, “The fun and adventure of the Puss in Boots world lends itself perfectly to the core gameplay of Fruit Ninja We wanted to create something new and different for our fans while keeping the magic of Fruit Ninja intact, and we think Bandito Mode will keep even the most practiced players on their toes. It’s totally rad!” Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots features two new modes (Desperado and Bandito) and The Stash, filled with unlockable wallpapers and blades.
