Sam Raimi In Talks To Direct Wizard of Oz Prequel
http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies – Follow Us! When it comes to directing Disney’s Oz Prequel, Is there anyone more “great and powerful” than Sam Mendes? Stay tuned for the details! Thanks for coming back to Clevver Movies, I’m your host Chelsea Cannell! Sam Mendes may have turned down the opportunity to direct the big budget OZ prequel “The Wizard of Oz: the Great and the powerful,” but rumor has it Disney has already moved on and has recently set their sights on Director Sam Raimi! How’s that for perfect timing! Raimi was recently removed from the director’s chair of “Spider Man 4″ by Sony pictures, making way for Disney to offer him the OZ job. If Raimi signs on, he would be at the helm of a cast that is already rumored to include Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. Not bad! The story follows the future wizard, who is a circus wrangler in the real world, but after he is carried away to OZ by a tornado, rises to power when he is believed to be the wizard the town has been waiting for! So does the possibility of Raimi make you wanna “return to Oz?” Or would you rather Hollywood leave the prequels alone? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below! Thanks for Watching Clevver Movies, See ya next time!
