I’m Chelsea Cannell with your OZ update. No more Spider-Man sequels, no Evil Dead…the word on the street is that Sam Raimi’s next movie is going to be none other than “OZ: the Great and Powerful”… with principal photography already on the books for June of 2011. No doubt there are a whole bunch of Evil Dead fans graphically upset by this news but maybe that’s next. And maybe pigs will fly directly afterward. In past months, Many directors have been rumored to man the OZ Pre-quel, including Sam Mendes, Adam Shankman and Guillermo del Toro but if the most recent rumors are to be believed, it is now up to Raimi to decide whether he takes the project or not. The story is still developing but Deadline is reporting that they have confirmed a Raimi/ Disney deal and that the film will move into development with Robert Downey Jr. in mind! So what do you think, Does “Oz, the Great and Powerful” sound like a good fit for Raimi? Or were you hoping his next film would have more dead of the Evil Variety, if you know hat I’m saying!? Batman Movie Update: Has a production date been set?

http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies – Follow Us! Is the new Batman film going into production next spring? Stay tuned for the details. Hey guys, welcome to Clevver Movies. I’m Amanda Janner with the latest Batman news. Sir Michael Caine, who plays Alfred in Christopher Nolan’s Batman films, gives us the inside scoop on the ongoing Batman project. The actor told reporters at the London premiere of Inception that the latest Batman flick may go into production next April. However, director Christopher Nolan recently told reporters he was unsure of the production’s start date. Nolan has been vague on the details, but what we do know is that the Joker won’t be making an appearance, the Scarecrow might, and the film could be making its 3-D debut. Sources say 3-D has been considered but is unlikely; however, the film may have IMAX scenes or a full IMAX release. Both Nolan and Batman’s director of photography have discussed their options, expressing concern that the 3-D fad may pass before the films expected release in the summer of 2012. A lot of talk has been swirling around the highly-anticipated Batman movie — from the filming start date to the villains, and of course, the 3-D debate. As always, we want to know your opinion, so leave us a line in the comments section below. Thanks for watching Clevver Movies. We’ll see you next time.
