World Cinema Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival Family is the most important thing in the world to Kaja. She is an eternal optimist in spite of living with a man who would rather go hunting with the boys, and who refuses to have sex with her because she “isn’t particularly attractive” anymore. Whatever. That’s life. But when “the perfect couple” moves in next door, Kaja struggles to keep her emotions in check. Not only do these successful, beautiful, exciting people sing in a choir; they have also adopted a child — from Ethiopia! These new neighbors open a new world to Kaja, with consequences for everyone involved. And when Christmas comes around, it becomes evident that nothing will ever be like before — even if Kaja tries her very best. Winner of the World Cinema Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, and an official selection at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s New Directors / New Films festival, HAPPY, HAPPY is a warm comedy from award-winning Norwegian filmmaker Anne Sewitsky.

BLACKTHORN Trailer

It’s been said (but unsubstantiated) that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were killed in a standoff with the Bolivian military in 1908. In BLACKTHORN, Cassidy (Sam Shepard) survived, and is quietly living out his years under the name James Blackthorn in a secluded Bolivian village. Tired of his long exile from the US and hoping to see his family again before he dies, Cassidy sets out on the long journey home. But when an unexpected encounter with an ambitious young criminal (Eduardo Noriega) derails his plans, he is thrust into one last adventure, the likes of which he hasn’t experienced since his glory days with the Sundance Kid.

Page One Trailer

Andrew Rossi’s riveting documentary Page One: Inside The New York Times had its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, and was acquired by Magnolia Pictures and Participant Media for theatrical release June 24. In the tradition of great fly-on-the-wall documentaries, the film deftly gains unprecedented access to the New York Times newsroom and the inner workings of the Media Desk. With the Internet surpassing print as our main news source and newspapers all over the country going bankrupt, Page One chronicles the transformation of the media industry at its time of greatest turmoil. Writers like Brian Stelter, Tim Arango and the salty but brilliant David Carr track print journalism’s metamorphosis even as their own paper struggles to stay vital and solvent, while their editors and publishers grapple with up-to-the-minute issues like controversial new sources and the implications of an online pay-wall. Meanwhile, rigorous journalism is thriving—Page One gives us an up-close look at the vibrant cross-cubicle debates and collaborations, tenacious jockeying for on-record quotes, and skillful page-one pitching that brings the most venerable newspaper in America to fruition each and every day.

Elijah Wood Talks Returning As "Frodo Baggins" In The Hobbit

http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies – Follow Us! Elijah Wood is the latest actor to confirm for the Hobbit — all the news straight from Sundance up next! Hey Everyone I’m Chelsea Cannell and you’re watching Clevver Movies! He’s been holding out for some time but Elijah wood announced at Sundance that he WILL be joining the cast of the Hobbit as Frodo Baggins. Despite saying he’d never suit up as Frodo again, the actor has decided that his character’s appearance in the movie makes sense for Jackson’s adaptation. His hesitation of course was that Frodo never appeared in Tolkien’s Hobbit. Wood revealed at Sundance that Frodo’s appearance will be a very small piece but that’s what the actor feels is most appropriate. The star wouldn’t say much else about the nature of his role but rumor has it he’ll appear in the beginning of each of the 2 films. While fans are already excited at the news, Wood seems to be equally as enthusiastic. Naturally it’ll be a welcomed reunion for the cast after a 7 year break and a trip back to New Zealand surely isn’t anything you’d have to twist his arm over. How do you guys feel about Frodo making a comeback in the Hobbit? Does it bother you that he wasn’t a part of Tolkiens original tale or are you just happy that the writers found a way to fit him in? Let us know if your how you feel in the comment section. And don’t forget to subscribe to our channel for all the latest movie news. I’m Chelsea Cannell, Thanks for watching Clevver Movies!
