Hey there Everyone, I’m Chelsea Cannell and you’re watching Clevver Movies! Darren Arronofsky has decided to walk away from directing Wolverine because he says he doesn’t want to be away from his family for that long. The film which will be set in Japan will reportedly take a year to film and Darren, who has a son with his ex-flame Rachel Weisz, feels that the production would take him away for too long. He admitted that the decision was a hard one since he was really looking forward to working with Hugh Jackman, and felt the script was fantastic, but ultimately it just wasn’t something he felt he could do. The screenplay written by Christopher McQuarrie supposedly has a Samurai Subplot and is rumored to already have a 2012 release date. However, Fox has not revealed whether or not the loss of their director will in fact push back its theatrical release. Kinda a bummer since a lot of people felt Arronofsky was the right guy to bring this story to life, but now that’s he’s opted out- who do you think should get the job?
