Comic Con: Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg – The Other Guys Panel
Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg were at Comic Con to talk about their new comedy The Other Guys. NYPD Detectives Christopher Danson and P.K. Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson) are the baddest and most beloved cops in New York City. They don’t get tattoos — other men get tattoos of them. Two desks over and one back, sit Detectives Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg). You’ve seen them in the background of photos of Danson and Highsmith, out of focus and eyes closed. They’re not heroes — they’re “the Other Guys.” But every cop has his or her day and soon Gamble and Hoitz stumble into a seemingly innocuous case no other detective wants to touch that could turn into New York City’s biggest crime. It’s the opportunity of their lives, but do these guys have the right stuff? Columbia Pictures’ ensemble action comedy The Other Guys stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton, Steve Coogan, Ray Stevenson, with Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson. Directed by Adam McKay and written by Adam McKay & Chris Henchy, the producers are Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Jimmy Miller, and Patrick Crowley. Rating: This film is not yet rated by the MPAA. Starring: Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton, Steve Coogan, Ray Stevenson, Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson Directed By: Adam McKay Produced By: Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Jimmy Miller, Patrick Crowley
Inception 2 Rumors: Will there be a sequel?
http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies – Follow Us! Are the Inception Sequel Rumors anything more than High Hopes? We’ll fill you in after the break! Welcome to Clevver Movies. I’m your host, Chelsea Cannell. We just barely got past opening weekend and here’s a rumor about the sequel for Inception. Given the cliffhanger ending, there’s some possibility, but it’s a long shot at best, at this stage of the game. Possible? Sure. Likely? Not so much. But then, they were talking sequel for Zombieland two weeks before that even came out in theaters and look what happened there. Right now Inception’s made a ton of money after a HUGE opening weekend. So it’s really no surprise that studio may want another one, but are we really to believe that Chris Nolan is gonna let that happen? The argument is that a sequel would likely lesson an a-plus execution on the original, something Nolan isn’t expected to let happen. So while the director probably isn’t in favor, it seems the cast of the film isn’t either. MTV caught up with a lot of them at the premiere and tried to plant the sequel rumors but no one seemed to take the bait. But with many taking the “dream stance” on the final scene, it seems the door for a 2nd installment has been left wide open. So what are your thoughts on an Inception Sequel? Do you think the ending gives way to a part 2? Make sure to tell us your thoughts in the comment section below. Will Peter Jackson Direct The Hobbit?
http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies – Follow Us! Will peter Jackson be at the Helm of “The Hobbit?” Stay tuned for the Details! Thanks for coming back to Clevver Movies, I’m Chelsea Cannell with your Hobbit update! Ever Since Guillermo Del Toro got out of the directors chair last week, rumors have been swirling that talks have heated up in recent days between Peter Jackson and Warner Brothers/New Line! Jackson is an obvious choice for the studio, not only because he made the “Lord of the Rings” movies but also because he is deeply involved as a producer on the “Hobbit” films. The only potential problem in securing Jackson could be the very reason Guillermo Del Toro left: The films timing. If they can workout a schedule that will allow the director to fast track the films for release in 2012 and 2013, the deal will likely move forward. However, Complications could arise from the shaky financial situation of partner MGM, which owns the “Hobbit” rights and could hold up the production timetable. That was the deal breaker for Guillermo and will likely be the problem for peter as well. Jackson will also have to decide if he wants to invest the time it will take to bring to life another one of JRR Tolkien’s tales. On a positive note, When Del Toro left the set, the film was already in the advanced stages of pre-production with “Middle Earth” already being built, and casting reportedly ready to begin. So will he or won’t he? Insiders expect a decision within the next few days! So, Now it’s your turn to weigh in… do you think the film would be Better with Guillermo Del Toro at the helm? Or does the potential of Peter Jackson make the hobbit that much better? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section! Thanks for watching Clevver Movies, See ya next time!
Will Smith Interview: The Karate Kid
Will Smith talks Karate Kid Movie! The Karate Kid hits Theaters on June 11, 2010! Cast: Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith, Taraji P. Henson In Columbia Pictures’ The Karate Kid, 12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) could’ve been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother’s (Taraji P. Henson) latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying – and the feeling is mutual – but culture differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, dre’s feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts ‘the karate kids’ on the floor with ease. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.
