I’m your host Tatiana Carrier coming to your from our Hollywood headquarters! Well, if you weren’t already excited about the new Amazing Spider-Man, the Comic-Con Annual Magazine released some inserts from an interview with director Marc Webb, who dropped some details on some of the choices that were made when bringing his version of Spider-Man to the big screen. Webb was quick to point out that this reboot is not a simple remake of the Sam Raimi trilogy, and that may explain why the love interest and villains were changed. Webb also hints at what the December poster tagline “The Untold Story” really meant, but only by saying that not only does it feature new catalysts, but also that this will be an entirely different Peter Parker/Spider-Man. . When asked about whether or not this reboot of Spider-Man will be true to the original comic book character’s wise-cracking fun, Webb responded with “There’s a punk rock quality to Peter Parker that’s really irreverent and fun and that’s something that Andrew [Garfield] embodies in a way that we haven’t seen before. Certainly the materials that have come out have a darker sentiment or there’s a darker projection, but we’re very keen on staying loyal to the humor of Spider-Man.” . Webb also discussed the fact that he conceptualized the film as a 3-D film, since so much of Spider-Man’s actions really lend themselves to the 3-D format. “I thought if there’s ever a movie that should be in 3D, it’s Spider-Man for crying out loud. We shot this all in stereo so it was native 3D. Nothing has been converted. But those point-of-view sequences, those came very directly from a philosophy about putting the audience in Spider-Man’s shoes. We wanted them to feel what he feels, and that’s where those sequences came from.” . Well, while Webb didn’t drop as many hints to the storyline as we would’ve liked to see, these are still some great insights as to what to expect from the new Spider-Man franchise. You can read the whole article by clicking the link below, and be sure to let us know what you guys think! Will the changes to the plot make it distinct enough from the Raimi trilogy, or are you more excited for the different approach to seeing Spider-Man’s abilities? Hey guys, thanks for checking back with clevver movies, I’m Tatiana carrier and with In Time releasing this week, I thought id fill you guys in on what the critics are saying so that you can decide whether or not youll see it when it hits the theatres ! The film is about when Will Salas played by Justin timberlake is falsely accused of murder, he must figure out a way to bring down a system where time is money – literally – enabling the wealthy to live forever while the poor, like Will, have to beg, borrow, and steal enough minutes to make it through another day. Christie Lamire from Variety said, “For a movie about the importance of maximizing every second, “In Time” ultimately grows repetitive and wears out its welcome.” Michael Phillips from the Chicago Sun Times wasn’t a fan of the flick, he said, “Frustratingly, Niccol’s technique isn’t up to his premise. The movie offers roughly 60 minutes of story complication stretched out to 109.” But Top critic Roger Ebert from the Chicago Tribune liked the flick saying “the premise is damnably intriguing, but in regards to Justin Timberlake’s performance said, “Justin Timberlake continues to demonstrate that he is a real actor, with screen presence. But after the precise timing and intelligence he brought to “The Social Network,” it’s a little disappointing to find him in a role that requires less. So now you know what the critics thought of Intime, make sure you guys comment below and tell us your thoughts as YOU are our favorite critics! Thanks for hanging out, see you next time!
