I’m your host Tatiana Carrier coming to your from our Hollywood headquarters! Well, if you weren’t already excited about the new Amazing Spider-Man, the Comic-Con Annual Magazine released some inserts from an interview with director Marc Webb, who dropped some details on some of the choices that were made when bringing his version of Spider-Man to the big screen. Webb was quick to point out that this reboot is not a simple remake of the Sam Raimi trilogy, and that may explain why the love interest and villains were changed. Webb also hints at what the December poster tagline “The Untold Story” really meant, but only by saying that not only does it feature new catalysts, but also that this will be an entirely different Peter Parker/Spider-Man. . When asked about whether or not this reboot of Spider-Man will be true to the original comic book character’s wise-cracking fun, Webb responded with “There’s a punk rock quality to Peter Parker that’s really irreverent and fun and that’s something that Andrew [Garfield] embodies in a way that we haven’t seen before. Certainly the materials that have come out have a darker sentiment or there’s a darker projection, but we’re very keen on staying loyal to the humor of Spider-Man.” . Webb also discussed the fact that he conceptualized the film as a 3-D film, since so much of Spider-Man’s actions really lend themselves to the 3-D format. “I thought if there’s ever a movie that should be in 3D, it’s Spider-Man for crying out loud. We shot this all in stereo so it was native 3D. Nothing has been converted. But those point-of-view sequences, those came very directly from a philosophy about putting the audience in Spider-Man’s shoes. We wanted them to feel what he feels, and that’s where those sequences came from.” . Well, while Webb didn’t drop as many hints to the storyline as we would’ve liked to see, these are still some great insights as to what to expect from the new Spider-Man franchise. You can read the whole article by clicking the link below, and be sure to let us know what you guys think! Will the changes to the plot make it distinct enough from the Raimi trilogy, or are you more excited for the different approach to seeing Spider-Man’s abilities? Hey guys, thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the latest on the zzombie autotopsies! Weve just learned from our friends at slashfilm.com that the king of zombies George Romero, is currently writing an adaptation of a 2011 book The Zombie Autopsies: Secret Notebooks from the Apocalypse by Steven C. Schlozman. You guys may know Romero from “dawn of the dead”, the crazies and land of the dead. The book is about shocking revelations when a group of scientists perform autopsies on zombies following a zombie apocalypse. SCARY!!!! Romero recently spoke about the adaptation and described it as an intense storyline, he said, ” It’s very tense and very medically correct. This guy’s a doctor, it’s all about being medically correct. I think about it like the first Hammer Frankenstein film, which was all about very graphic scenes of brains floating in blood and things like that. I want it to be perfectly accurate, almost shockingly so.” So will you guys be checking out this zombie thriller?
